Introduction and Purpose

I have been talking about creating a blog since Christopher was born on June 4 this year but just kept putting it off. We live in Texas but have family on the East Coast and West Coast and in Germany and Zambia and wanted a way to keep them updated since we don't get to visit in person very often. To my friends who have recently created their own blogs, thanks for the inspiration. I am excited about documenting the lives of my kids and the potential for more frequent communication between long distance friends and family.

Chris can roll over!

Today Christopher rolled over from his back onto his tummy for the first time! He has been a tummy sleeper since he was 2 weeks old and has been able to roll onto his back since he was 2 months old. There have been many nights where he would wake up in the middle of the night and start crying because he had rolled onto his back and couldn't roll to his tummy to get comfortable again. He looked like a turtle stuck on its back with limbs flailing trying to turn over. I would have to get up and calm him down and place him back on his tummy where he would suck on his thumb and go right back to sleep. I am hoping now that he can roll both ways that he will no longer need my assistance if he finds himself awake on his back. This is such a great milestone to watch. He has been trying to roll for a couple weeks and it was nice that me and Chad and Trinity and Eve were all able to be there and cheer for him when he finally succeeded!

About Me

I never seem to know what to write for this. I am an MK. The beauty of Africa is stuck in my head calling me to come back. I am a wife to my husband Rich for 4 years. We have 3 boys together. Chadwick David was born on December 27, 2005, Christopher Seth was born on June 4, 2007, and Richard Evan was born on February 5, 2009. I love to read. I enjoy learning. I love to serve those in need. I prefer to be behind the scenes instead of in the limelight. I am passionate about the things I believe in. I am determined. I love being outdoors. I believe in being a good steward of this planet that God has given to us. I love being pregnant, giving birth and raising babies/kids and want a lot more of them hopefully soon (I still have to work on getting Rich to go along with this plan). I am a stay at home mom and full time student studying psychology. My kids bring me so much joy and fulfillment. There is nothing else in the world like seeing kids learn and grow over time. It is so cool to watch and I feel so privileged to have been entrusted with these little lives and hearts.
